Spot of Bother

Spot of Bother
18th November 2016 Kicheche Camps

The audaciousness of youth very nearly landed Mara North’s favourite family into an uneven turf skirmish.

Cheetahs have many more threatening adversaries than elephants, but none larger.  With disbelief both Amani and two Kicheche vehicles watched as first one then another pulled extended spotted mannequins right in front of an encroaching tusker.

Eventually they retreated, still seemingly unsure of their folly. They then ran into two servals. This bout was a lot shorter with the smaller cat showing a clean pair of heels to its pursuing pair.

All this before seven a.m: Mara North magic. Again
