Background:
I am a Masai and was born and brought up in the Aitong area of
the Masai Mara. I had my primary education at Aitong Primary before
joining Olchkut Supat School for my secondary education.
In 2000 I joined Friends of Conservation as a Community Representative
for tree planting and looked after the tree nursery. During that
time I developed an interest in bird study and animal behaviour.
I joined Kicheche Camp in 2002 as a room attendant and then later
worked as a waiter before I was sent on a scholarship to the Koiyaki
Guiding School in 2005. I was among the founding students and
graduated with a Guiding Certificate. I spent 2006 as a trainee
guide at Bush Camp and am now working as a full time guide at
Mara Camp.
I am married and blessed with two children Anderson and Sirere.
