Cubs, pups, kittens or youngsters, the collective is less important, the reward however is huge. There is that moment when the crackling Maa missive pauses for both confirmation and effect: ‘toto’. Suddenly the whole drive is galvanised, it is not just a cat or indeed dog, there are one or more little ones involved.
All over the Conservancies and Reserve there are young ones, some as young as a few weeks, others approaching sub-adult status, finding them is not always easy, but with the likes of Mika, James, Francis et al with the scent in their noses miracles frequently happen.
