"This has been our first visit to Kenya and what an amaizing experience it has been. From our arrival in Nairobi and our time there - to our stay in Amboseli and to our final destination at Kicheche Bush Camp in the Masai Mara we have been overwhelmed by the stunning scenery, the amazing wildlife and the friendliness of the people. This is a beautiful peaceful and safe country. we urge you to visit it now - you will never regret it. We don't want to leave and will be back"

"We have recently returned from our first visit to Kenya and enjoyed it so much we are determined to return next year. The variety and number of animals we saw was amazing and so few other tourists so share it! However, it was the genuine warmth of the welcome everywhere and the way that everyone tried so hard to please us that makes us wish to return.
The scenes of violence on T.V and in the press have made so many cancel although the areas affected are far removed from any which tourists would visits. Even in Nairobi we saw nothing in the least alarming and are planning to extend our stay next time. It really is dreadful how the lives of people far removed from the unrest have been badly affected – so if you have ever thought of visiting Kenya – NOW is the time to go!"

"Our first time in Kenya and we have had a wonderful start to our holiday. Phil and Charlie were warm and welcoming. We're moving onto Bush Camp next and much look forward to that. The Mara Camp staff were warm and friendly and very helpful too. To date we cannot see why a lot of tourists have cancelled as everywhere we have been has felt perfectly safe and peaceful."

"I had the most wonderful time. The service provided at Kicheche was faultless. Paul Goldstein and Jonathan Scott worked so hard to enhance our experience with masses of information about the wildlife and how to capture good images. Their enthusiasm for the Mara and its wildlife was constantly inspiring. My head was spinning much of the time with what I saw and learned - just incredible.
Each day there were fresh and amazing experiences in terms of animal behaviour that we were privileged to observe. A pride of lions enjoying their kill, with two cubs being escorted by their mum to enjoy the last of the spoils, plus vultures swooping down to take the scraps and initially being seen off by a female lion. On a separate occasion we saw a pride of lions doing what lions do best - relaxing, sleeping and being together. And on another occasion we saw a herd of elephants doing what elephants do best - enjoying the mud! We saw cheetah's from the Big Cat Diary, a mother leopard and her two cubs (beautiful and brilliant), baboons with a kill, a cheetah chasing and killing an impala, some magnificent birds (including crown cranes and the wonderful lilac breasted roller). Bat eared foxes, jackals teasing a female lion, a family of spotted hyenas, were also on display. We saw crocodiles and hippos in the Mara river. And of course the many, many beautiful zebra, Thomson's gazelles, and (the not so beautiful) wildebeest. .
We left camp each day at around 6.15/6.30 a.m., having breakfast midmorning out on the plains. And after lunch we were out till dusk (sometimes dark), with Sundowners out on the plains. Wow (this word was on my lips more times than was rational)!
Our Masai drivers can only be described as absolutely fantastic, their ability to spot the wildlife from a distance was nothing short of miraculous.
Thank you to all at Kicheche. And of course thanks to Jonathan and Paul - without whom my experience would not have been as great as it was"

"Our stay has been second to none. We had our concerns that we were doing the right thing by bringing our children to Kenya in the present climit, but on the advise of our agents, who assured us that there was no problem to to this area - we went ahead and are thrilled that we did, as the children have had a wonderful taste of Africa"

"We've had such a great experience dealing with all the team at Kicheche and the holiday at the camp was amazing - something we will truly remember for a very long time. I hope things are settling down in kenya as it really is a beautiful country and the people we met through our travels were so friendly, warm and welcoming. I will always hold very fond memories of Kenya and I hope to be able to see it again very soon. Once again thank you for all your help and we hope to return in the very near future."

"If anyone is thinking of going on safari now is the ideal time to go to Kenya (keeping out of the trouble spots of course!). The Masai Mara is the best place in Africa to see wildlife. At the moment it is completely empty of tourists so visitors really do have the place to themselves. I have just returned from seven nights at Kicheche Bush Camp in the Conservancy where we had the whole place to ourselves and had the delightful company of the camp's host and hostess, Andy and Sonya. We were taken around on our own personal game drives by a charming young Masai named Simon, his talent for spotting every sort of wildlife was truly amazing and he was a fund of knowledge about the local flora and fauna. If you want to experience the real Africa the bush camp is for you. It is set in a remote area amongst whistling thorns and acacia trees; the luxury tents are spacious and very comfortable and as the camp is unfenced the wildlife surrounds you; the food is delicious and plentiful and sundowners in the bush are a must. So if you are thinking of going don't hesitate because you will never have the chance again of this unique experience of having the place to yourselves."

"We had a great holiday in Kenya, despite the upheaval in the country we felt safe and were lucky enough to experience the Masai Mara with very few other tourists. Even though the news about Kenya is very worrying, the local people rely on tourism for their livelihood with each person in employment supporting between 5 and 10 others so if they lose their jobs, many miss out. Consider supporting the Kenyans by not disregarding the trip out of hand because of the troubles. We were very well looked after and the Masai people are not involved in the troubles and need supporting. This is a great trip that will certainly show you the Africa that you've been dreaming of."
