Introduction

Both Mara and Bush camps are ideal bases from which to photograph the Masai Mara. We realise the special requirements of serious photographers whether professional or amateur and are used to catering for these. Amongst other photographers we've had Anup & Manoj Shah and Jonathan & Angie Scott staying at Kicheche. Outlined below are some of the advantages we offer:

Vehicles

Our game driving vehicles are open sided Land Cruisers offering the ultimate in flexibility whilst shooting. There are two roof hatches or an open roof for higher vantage points or you can shoot through the open sides. Upon request we are able to attach platforms to the sides of the vehicle making it easier to position larger lenses. We are also able to provide bean bags on request.
We recommend you book a vehicle on an exclusive use basis for the ultimate in flexibility ($230 per day supplement).

Guides

We pride ourselves on the quality of our guides who are experienced in working with different photographers. Our guides not only have the most up to date knowledge on where to locate fauna but they are also used to their habits and behaviour.

Other advantages
  • Long stay rate - for stays exceeding 4 nights we offer a reduced tariff.
  • Game drives - we do not impose any limits on the amount or duration of game drives.
  • Meal flexibility - picnic breakfasts or lunches can be provided daily for extended time in the field.
  • Location - game drives start on our doorstep.
  • Battery charging for cameras/videos/disk drives/laptops - available each evening back at either camp.
