Laikipia-Masai Mara Safari 6 Nights

Day 1

Depart Nairobi's Wilson airport for your scheduled morning flight (0800 or 1020) to Nanyuki. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to the camp in Ol Pejeta Conservancy, your journey time is approximately 45 minutes. Lunch at camp then relax until afternoon tea is served. Venture out onto the rolling plains on your game drive to enjoy the wonderful array of game on offer. Game driving in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy is a true pleasure with very few other vehicles in the area. This evening enjoy a sundowner drink at a scenic spot followed by a spotlight drive back to camp. Take a hot shower before joining other guests for a drink around the campfire or in our cosy lounge tent. Dine with your hosts either under the stars or in our adjacent dining tent.

Day 2

An early start to the day with piping hot coffee or tea brought to your tent. This morning take a longer game drive and enjoy a sumptuous picnic breakfast out on the plains under the gaze of Mount Kenya.You also have the option of going lion tracking, an exciting activity which also assists the Conservancy research program.
Return to camp for an al-fresco lunch and relax in a hammock afterwards. This afternoon we will take you to the Chimpanzee Sanctuary on a private visit. Following some time with the chimps continue on your evening game drive until dusk.

Day 3

This morning one can take a walking excursion from camp with one of our guides and a ranger. Walk duration and distance can be arranged to suit your preference. The rest of the day is available for game driving or enjoying an optional activity such as horse riding. Wind down your day with a sundowner at one of the scenic spots in the Conservancy before returning to camp.

Day 4

Relax at camp this morning or take an early morning drive. Return to camp for an al-fresco breakfast before departing for Nanyuki airstrip for your flight to Masai Mara at 1000. Upon arrival you will be met and transfered across the plains to the camp. Freshen up before lunch. Afterwards, relax and absorb the surroundings before setting off on an afternoon game drive till sunset. Return to camp for hot showers, then an aperitif before dining under the stars.

Day 5

Rise early with tea or coffee brought to your tent. At dawn set off for another drive on the plains. Return to the camp for a leisurely breakfast. Afterwards, take an escorted walk around the camp grounds learning about the flora and medicinal uses of various shrubs and trees. Lunch and a chance to enjoy a siesta in one of the hammocks slung between the trees. Afternoon tea is followed by further game-viewing to sunset. Return to camp for an evening around the campfire.

Day 6

This morning take an escorted game walk with one of our expert guides. The walk, which takes approximately 2 hours, offers another perspective in viewing the terrain and fauna whilst crossing the plains and traversing bushland in the surrounding areas.
This afternoon you may wish to visit a traditional Masai manyatta (village) or take another late afternoon game drive.

Day 7

A final early morning game drive in the Aitong region or, if you are departing in the afternoon, a full morning game drive with a picnic breakfast is a popular option.

Transfer to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi (departures at 11 a.m. & 4 p.m.)
