To bee or not to bee.
After much deliberation about suitable positions and having bumbled on about it for a while, Kicheche Bush Camp has not only installed two deceptively spacious, well appointed abodes, they also have their first resident ! (see image). Within moments of the tape being cut on construction completion, this striped insect made a bee-line to its first floor apartment. Emma normally includes that area of camp on her birding perambulations, she now has a different form of winged wonder for her ‘birds and bees’ tour.
Come end of January Darren hopes to be harvesting a large comb-over to add even more to what are already legendary breakfasts. Enough puns for you, never, sorry if some were too contrhived, but these are exciting times, especially for potential honey-mooners.
Out of acorns …. let’s just hope this wasn’t a single nomad, that really would be the bee all and end all of this sweetly ambitious project which is likely to get picked up by many blogs and buzz feeds…..
