Mica is a remarkable guide, one of Valley Camp’s favourite sons, his post bag is bigger than almost any, last week he was waiting for some zebras to bisect the Mara river (that’s crossings in late November … you heard it first here). They hesitated, it is funny how 23 crocs makes them do that. As they filed downstream a young lioness pounced and a massive tussle ensued. Eventually the zebra broke free but its wounds were mortal and it dropped forty metres from the battleground. The lion got its breath back before starting her still warm meal….read more
